How long will it take to prepare my financial
statement. |
 |
This depends mostly on you and the information
you provide. It could take several weeks or longer. If you delay
bringing in any paperwork the process may have to be started again.
|

|
Do I stop paying my creditors whilst you are preparing
my financial statement. |
 |
No. There are some creditors you must continue
to pay who are priority creditors. Talk to your adviser about them. |
| |
Once holding letters have been sent to my creditors
does that mean they should not contact me again. |
 |
No, they may contact you
to find out when you are going to make a payment offer. We will
not contact them for you. The sooner your creditor can consider
your offer, the better. You must keep your creditor informed. |
| |
What happens if I disagree with your advice as to payment
to my creditors. |
 |
We will discuss this with you, but your
financial position statement will not be sent your creditors without
your consent.
|
| |
What happens if I don't want to include all my bills
or income. |
 |
We cannot help you to prepare a proper
financial statement to address your debt concerns if there is
missing income or expense information. We can give you a personal
budget statement based on the figures you have given us and we
can then notify your creditors that you will be contacting them
with any payment offer.
|
| |
Do you offer appointments. |
 |
Yes we do. However these are taken up quickly.
Your adviser will let you know if an appointment is necessary.
|
| |
What happens if I stop coming into the bureau to discuss
my debt problem. Will you contact me. |
 |
No. We respect your privacy. We can only
make offers to your creditors with your co-operation. We will
continue to welcome your contact by drop-in, letter or phone on
any matter.
